Paying up to $19 an hour!

Your role at PFH:

As a Peer Specialist, your role involves supporting individuals on their journey towards recovery and wellness. . You will:

Assist Participants in Developing Treatment Plans: Collaborate with individuals in recovery to help them create personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and needs. Use your lived experience to provide insights and guidance on effective strategies for achieving and maintaining recovery.

Regular Communication with Referral Sources/Guardians: Maintain open lines of communication with referral sources, guardians, and other relevant stakeholders. Provide updates on participants’ progress, share insights into their recovery journey, and address any clinical concerns that may arise. Document these communications accurately.

Participate in Staffing for Continuity of Care: Attend staff meetings and team discussions to ensure a holistic approach to participants’ care, and share your perspective as a Peer Specialist.

Referral for Outside Issues: Facilitate or assist in making referrals to external resources, professionals, or services that can address any issues effectively.

Assist in Scheduling and Transportation: Help participants navigate the logistics of their treatment by assisting in scheduling appointments and arranging transportation as needed. This practical support can remove barriers to engagement in the recovery process.

Professional Representation of the Agency: Serve as a representative of the agency when interacting with participants, their families, and other professionals.

Requirements: We think you’d be great for this role if you have:

Self identify as a present or former client of mental health or substance use services OR self identifies as a person in recovery from mental health or substance use disorder.
Be at least 21 years of age
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Complete a state approved training program and if required, pass a standardized examination
